The JRP Experience
I want your wedding photography experience to be one that you fondly remember. From our initial consultation to the moment you flip through your gallery, I am here for you! Along the way, I will send you resources from a sample wedding day timeline to my engagement style guide to help guide you through the process. On the day of your wedding, I am there to not only take beautiful photos, but also to lend a helping hand from fluffing your dress to pinning on boutonnières.
Choosing the right photographer for your wedding day is an overwhelming task. I like to consider my style bright, classic and clean. I want my images to be timeless for years to come. This means capturing moments in the colors as are seen with our eyes.
My images are a combination of traditional and lifestyle posing. I want to capture the connection and joy experienced throughout the entire day. This means an amazing gallery full of diversity and options.
How do I book?
I prefer all my couples take the opportunity to meet or speak with me prior any agreement. This could be at the local coffee shop, over the phone, or even Skype. This allows both the couple and I time to get to know one another, as well as ensure that our personalities and vision are a good match. It is important to me that we have a great connection so your wedding day can be as fun and stress free as possible!
Once we have decided we are a great match and you have selected your package, I will send over a contract and invoice to pay the retainer. Once the retainer is paid, the fun begins and we will schedule your engagements!
Engagements
Engagement sessions are some of my favorite! This is a stress free way for me to get to know my couples and for you to get to know me. I promise by the end, you will be saying how much fun you had!
Every couple always says how awkward they are, but after those first 20 minutes you will know everything you need to capture those picture perfect images. This helps make the wedding day run more smoothly as you've already familiarized yourself with my shooting and posing style.
Portrait time on the big day may run short, so you wouldn't want that time to be spent warming up.
Bridals
Bridal sessions are a southern tradition and are totally optional. If you're looking for a reason to spend extra time in that perfect gown you spent hours searching for, this is it!
Bridals are the perfect time to see how your wedding day look will come together. This is when your hair and makeup trial can come into play to see how everything will photograph on your wedding day.
This also gives you the option to change your look if you're deciding between wearing your hair up or down.
You will also have tons of portraits of you that we may not have the chance to get on your actual wedding day.
Pre-Wedding Planning
Weddings require a lot of planning leading up to the big day. This also means planning out the wedding day to ensure we have plenty of time for the portraits and special moments of your day specific to you. This might include a first look with your groom or bridal party, reading a letter from your soon to be spouse, or exchanging gifts.
Approximately 1 month prior to the wedding date I will send you a pre-wedding questionnaire. This will help me know all the details involved in helping you plan out your timeline to ensure I don't miss anything.
Each wedding package includes assistance to lay out your specific day of timeline. You can also check out my blog for some timeline samples HERE.
Wedding Day
I will arrive at your getting ready location and check in to let you know I am there. From there I will get started photographing your bridal details. These items include your rings, shoes, jewelry, invitation suite, and anything special to you. It is best to have these items ready for me when I arrive so I can grab them and find a spot to get started. I also recommend having your florist arrive early enough to drop off your bouquet and some additional florals to help style these items.
Throughout the wedding day, the second shooter (if your package included one) and I will be bouncing around shooting all the other wedding details. This includes the venue decor, ceremony site, groom and groomsmen, etc.
For the ceremony, I like to keep out of the way as much as possible while still making sure to capture those must have moments.

Following the big day
I know waiting for your images to come back isn't easy! I deliver a sneak peak of images to my couples within 7 days via my blog, Facebook, or Instagram. From there you will be able to share images with your friends and family to hold you over until the full gallery is done!
The full gallery of images is typically delivered with 4-6 weeks via an online gallery. This can change depending on the time of year and how busy the season is. You will receive all edited images (approximately 50+ per hour) in high resolution via an online gallery as well as a custom USB.
If you choose to purchase a wedding album, I will first design the album then send it over to you to review. From there we will work together to ensure the final product is a keepsake you can look fondly on for years to come.
